Terms of sale & use

1. Who we are

keepthemlive.com and the KeepThemLive app are published by — SIRET , contact: contact [at] keepthemlive.com.

2. What we sell

Digital fiction: individual stories or packs (genre packs, Discovery pack, or the "Complete Season" pack — every current story of that season). Purchases made inside the app follow the App Store / Google Play terms. Purchases made on this website are delivered as an activation code sent by email, to redeem in the app (Settings → Redeem a code). One-time payments — no subscription.

3. Prices and payment

Prices are shown in euros. VAT not applicable (art. 293 B of the French Tax Code). Website payments are processed by Stripe. We never see your card details.

4. Delivery

Activation codes are sent by email within minutes of payment. A gifted code can be forwarded to its recipient. Codes are single-use unless stated otherwise.

5. Right of withdrawal & refunds

By purchasing digital content with immediate delivery on this website, you expressly agree to its immediate availability and waive the 14-day EU right of withdrawal (art. L221-28 of the French Consumer Code) — this express consent is collected before payment, at checkout. Website purchases are therefore not refundable once delivered, except where the content is defective: if a code doesn't work, write to us — we will fix it or refund you. Purchases made inside the app follow the refund policies of the App Store and Google Play, which decide on refunds themselves.

6. Fair use

Stories are protected by copyright, for personal use. Reselling codes is prohibited. We may revoke codes obtained fraudulently.

7. Referral program

When open, the referral program lets an account holder share a personal code. The new player receives a dedicated welcome story; the referrer earns a reward point only after the referred player's first paid purchase, within yearly limits. Rewards added to a library are personal and non-transferable. Gift codes are single-use and expire. Referral codes, gift codes and rewards are free of charge and may not be sold, exchanged for value or published on deal/coupon sites. Self-referral and any scheme aimed at farming rewards are prohibited. We may withhold, revoke or reclaim rewards, codes and accounts involved in abuse or fraud, and may modify or suspend the program at any time (rewards already granted are kept).

KeepThemLive offers suspense fiction. All stories are entirely fictional. Not intended for children under 13. In a real emergency, call 112.

9. Law

French law applies. EU consumers keep their mandatory local protections. Dispute platform: ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr.

Privacy policy

KeepThemLive is an interactive fiction app published by ("we"). This section describes what the app collects, why, and what it never collects.

What we collect

Account (optional). You can play as a guest, without an account. If you create one (email code, Google or Apple), we keep your email address and an account identifier — used only to sign you in, sync your progress across devices and restore your purchases.

Game progress. When signed in, your progress (ongoing conversations, endings found) is stored on our servers for multi-device resume. As a guest, it stays on your device only.

Anonymous statistics. At the end of a run we record the ending reached, duration and number of choices — never the content of your conversations. These aggregates power "X% of players made it" and story balancing.

Bug reports. If you report a problem, the report includes the technical context needed to reproduce it (story node, recent path, device model, OS version). You see what is sent before sending.

Purchases. Payments are processed by the App Store or Google Play, and by Stripe on this website. We never see your card details.

What we don't do

  • No ads, no ad trackers.
  • No selling or sharing of data.
  • No access to contacts, location, photos or microphone.
  • The motion sensor ("don't move" challenges) is processed on-device only.

Where data lives

Account, progress and statistics are hosted within the European Union, and sign-in emails are sent by a French provider. The full list of our processors is available on request — just write to us.

Your rights (GDPR)

You can request access, rectification or deletion of your data — including full account deletion — by writing to contact [at] keepthemlive.com. You can also delete any conversation from the app at any time.

Children

KeepThemLive offers suspense fiction (thriller). It is not intended for children under 13.
